Bloom Builders is a building firm based in Battersea, London.

Bloom Builders are project managers who work with a trusted team of builders and subcontractors to make beautiful houses for our clients. We usually work on ground floor extensions, side returns, basements, loft conversions and renovations around South West London and our typical project value is between £100k - £3m.

We’re set up to provide the most bang for your buck and our approach means more of your money get’s to site.

We provide fixed cost quotes for our work which are realistic, fair and transparent and map out a genuine timeline and programme for our projects which we follow and review with our clients at our weekly on site meetings.

Our team are always contactable and are available on the phone, whatsapp, email or for face to face meetings at all times.

About our work

All of our work is undertaken by our trusted team of subcontractors and tradesmen and overseen by our experienced project management team. Of course, all our work is fully insured

Before works start

Our clients generally get in touch via our website, phone or whatsapp and will have an initial chat to see if we can help with the project. We get involved with projects at different stages and can help from the very beginning or after architectural drawings have been produced. We then arrange to come over to your house for a free consultation. and gather the information we need during that meeting to produce a budget for the works. Please note if you do not yet own your property, we charge £240 for the consultation and site visit. 1 - 2 weeks after our consultation we will send over a quote and timeline for the works. We follow up with our clients a week after the quote has been sent out to get their thoughts and make any necessary amendements.

If terms are agreed we enter into a JCT contract between ourselves, the client and the contractor, take a security deposit and book in the job which is usually between 6 and 12 weeks after signing contracts.

If help is needed with permissions (planning, permitted development, party wall or structural engineering) we can help with this too and will advise on this during the on site consultation.

During works

The build team are on site everyday during the project and are supported by the project management team who are on site most days to make sure that everything is going to plan. Once a week we organise meetings with the client or the client’s representative to show and report on the project. At this meeting we cover the status of the project, review the time line, address any issues or changes and go through deliveries and finances. It is quite common for the early projects meetings to be easy going and they become more important as the project goes on and finishes are getting involved. Every 2 weeks, we will value the work that’s been done and request payment for build, materials and management costs.

After the works

During the completion stage of the project, we will draw up a room by room snagging list with our clients and spend the last few days on site working through these lists. On completion we will remove all protection, clear rubbish and clear all tools and materials from site. We will organise a builders clean but usually the client will organise an extra clean before they move in. The first 6 months after completion is called the defects period and during this time, settlement snags are to be expected and minor defects may be noted. The client makes a list of these issues and at the end of the defects period, we will return to site to resolve any snags. We will then leave you to enjoy the property but will be on hand to help if anything goes wrong.

The works are guaranteed for material and workmanship defects for a period of 6 years from completion.
